j’ai cherché le passé.

Une foule de papiers satinés accrochée aux pages d’un album, accompagnée de quelques mots, perdue sur l’étagère. J’ai fait défiler ces inconnus, le poids de leurs sourires, le pli de leurs regards. Perdue dans ces souvenirs, la trame fantôme, le vide laissé sur les contours de l’instant, j’ai plongé, tête la première, dans ce labyrinthe, pour recomposer l’histoire. Côte à côte, semées d’indices, elles se sont révélées. Maintenant, toi qui t’approches de ces images, toi qui les regardes, scrutes les mots, les dates, curieux de connaître l’histoire ; laisses toi t’immiscer dans la mémoire de Nora B.

I looked for the past.

A multitude of satin-smooth papers, that were hitched to the pages of an album and accompanied with a few words – lost on the shelf. I made these unknown persons, the weight of their smiles, the crease of their eyes flash up (on). Lost in these memories, this ghost thread, this void that was left on the contours of the moment, I dived, headlong, in this labyrinth, in order to rewrite the story. Side by side, sprinkled with clues, they revealed themselves. Now, you who get closer to these images, you who look at them, scrutinize the words, the dates, be curious to know the story ; find your way in Nora B.’s memory.
